Smash Repair Request for Proposal
RFP UPDATE - SITE VISITS
We've made good progress going through the proposals we received from smash repairers - thanks again to all repairers who took part.
From the start of December we will be out visiting repairers who have submitted a RFP to get more information and to see the shop, equipment levels and customer service standards.
Given the hundreds of proposals we received we don't expect that we will have completed this process until the end of February.
Each RFP respondent will be contacted approximately a week before their individual site visit to arrange a suitable date and time.
The RFP process was the result of many repairers approaching us with innovative new ideas, technology and evolutionary business models they believe will improve overall quality of repairs and customer service across the smash repair industry.
NRMA Insurance is continually seeking to work more closely with the industry to enable repairers to build a stronger relationship with us, and therefore we gave all repairers the opportunity to tell us what they can provide for our NSW & ACT customers and how we might work together in the future.
The RFP was open for 5 weeks and is now closed. Thank you to those repairers who submitted a proposal - no more copies of the RFP document will be distributed.
Other States and territories
South Australia, Tasmania and Northern Territory are not involved in this RFP process.
A similar RFP process is likely to occur in Victoria (metropolitan areas only) and Western Australia in 2012, and possibly thereafter in Queensland.
We are keeping the RFP hotlines open. If you submitted a RFP and you have further questions you can contact the relevant RFP facilitator for your region:
