Smash Repair Request for Proposal
RFP UPDATE - SITE VISITS
NRMA Insurance has aligned its new network of Partner Repairers with its own industry-leading approach to safety and quality to deliver superior customer benefits including higher repair standards and faster repair times to get cars back on the road quicker.
For our Partner Repairers the new relationships can help to provide more commercial certainty which may assist them when they come to making their own independent decisions about how they run their businesses, such as investing in their repair shop, employing and training their people in developing new skills and using state-of-the-art technology.
NRMA Insurance’s network of Partner Repairers was finalised after a rigorous and exhaustive Request for Proposal (RFP) process which was open to every smash repairer in NSW to participate in.
Unlike some other insurers NRMA Insurance continues to offer all customers a choice of repairer.
As part of the RFP every repairer had the opportunity to provide a submission to NRMA Insurance about how they wanted to work with us in the future.
The industry was extensively consulted on the process and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive about the RFP’s fairness and transparency.
Network repairers were given 12 months notice that their existing agreements would be allowed to expire and not be renewed and every repairer who submitted an RFP was personally visited by the evaluation team to showcase their premises and discuss their submission in greater detail.
The new partner network will be in place from 1 July 2012.
Thank you to all repairers who participated.
The RFP process was the result of many repairers approaching us with innovative new ideas, technology and evolutionary business models they believe will improve overall quality of repairs and customer service across the smash repair industry.
NRMA Insurance is continually seeking to work more closely with the industry to enable repairers to build a stronger relationship with us, and therefore we gave all repairers the opportunity to tell us what they can provide for our NSW & ACT customers and how we might work together in the future.
The RFP was open for 5 weeks and is now closed. Thank you to those repairers who submitted a proposal - no more copies of the RFP document will be distributed.
