Smash Repair Request for Proposal
The RFP will be emailed to all repairers who request a copy, and the RFP newspaper advertisements provide further information. In summary:
- The RFP is simply a document we are using to ask repairers to complete and return to us giving them the opportunity to tell us how they think they can work with us in the future. It asks questions about their workshops, the equipment they have, the capacity and type of work they are able to handle, and any ideas they may have for working more closely together in a true partnership which benefits the most important person in our relationship, the customer. It is a straightforward document: the RFP simply asks repairers to describe to us the quality and service product they can offer to our customers once the majority of existing repairer contracts expire on June 30, 2012.
- If repairers choose not to participate in the RFP process, we will be unable to consider a formal, or contractual, relationship with them under the RFP process once the majority of existing contracts expire on 30 June, 2012.
- Three important things do not change after 30 June 2012: customers will have choice of repairer, we will authorise repairs from repairers, contracted or not, and we will still have a right to cash settle as we do now.
